Rosemary V. Davis is a Senior Associate Attorney with the firm and concentrates her practice in the areas of municipal law, land use law, zoning law, eminent domain and public employment labor law. Rosemary has more than 25 years of experience in municipal law and is a key contributor of legal insight and counsel to the firm’s municipal clients. She has extensive experience serving as municipal counsel at planning commission and zoning board of appeal meetings and she has prosecuted thousands of district court criminal and civil infraction proceedings. Rosemary has argued land use appeals in the Court of Appeals on behalf of individual property owners as well as on behalf of municipalities; has negotiated numerous collective bargaining agreements; and has experience arbitrating labor grievances. Throughout Rosemary’s career she has served the City of Sterling Heights, City of Fraser, Chesterfield Township, and Washington Township and currently serves the Township of Shelby and Township of Harrison.
Rosemary graduated from the James Madison College at Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Philosophy. She obtained her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. She is a member of the Macomb County Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan and is a member of the Government Law and Criminal Law Sections. She has also served on the District Character and Fitness Committee of the State Bar.
An avid sports fan who favors gymnastics, Rosemary formed, and served as President of, Hunt’s Gymnastics Academy Booster Club, a nonprofit organization helping to fundraise and assist local gymnasts with their competition expenses. She also enjoys serving on numerous fundraising committees at her children’s schools.
